A Surprise 60 Years in the Making

Earlier this week we celebrated my dad's 75th birthday. One of the highlights of the day was surprising him with this video, a collection of birthday messages from so many of the remarkable people he has met, worked with and become friends with throughout his life.

He had absolutely no idea we had put it together. Watching him sit quietly and listen to message after message was incredibly special and emotional for all of us. There's something about seeing someone you love truly surprised, it strips everything back to just that moment.

Friendships Built Far Beyond Business

Over the years, Dad has built friendships that go far beyond business. Farmers, chefs, suppliers, customers and lifelong mates from Australia and around the world took the time to wish him a happy 75th birthday. To me, that says everything about the man he is.

I've always believed your true legacy isn't what you build, it's the relationships you leave behind and the impact you have on others.

60 Years of Quiet Giving

Dad has spent more than 60 years quietly giving to our industry. Teaching, mentoring, sharing his knowledge, supporting people and practising a craft he still loves today, never asking for recognition or expecting anything in return.

Seeing so many people take the time to honour him was a beautiful reminder of just how many lives he has touched along the way.
